Back vs Lay — how an exchange works

BACK bet: You think Team A will win — BACK Team A at decimal 2.50. On a ৳500 stake, if Team A wins you gain ৳750 (before commission); if they don't, you lose ৳500.
LAY bet: You think Team A will not win — LAY against a ৳500 stake. Your liability is ৳750 (৳500 × 1.50); if Team A does not win you receive ৳500 (before commission); if they do win, you pay ৳750.
